Over the next two weeks Anglicans in every church up and down the UK are being encouraged to pray for our nation. Specifically to pray that every child, woman and man would have the opportunity to meet Jesus for themselves. Spearheaded by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York it is hoped that there will be a groundswell of prayer across our nation and if that happens it will make a difference.

Here’s the introduction from Archbishop Justin Welby:

How can you get involved?

Visit the Thy Kingdom Come website and see how you can pray over the coming weeks.

Use the ‘Nine Days of Prayer’ booklet between the Ascension on Thursday the 5th May up to Pentecost Sunday. Copies are available at our services and will be at the back of our church building.

Pray in your small group, with friends and on your own.

Join with others from St Paul’s in praying through the week leading up to Pentecost Sunday. We will be meeting at the following times to pray, each session will be led by a different person from our church community.:

  • Monday 9th May 9am
  • Tuesday 10th May 7pm
  • Wednesday 11th May 9am
  • Thursday 12th May 7pm
  • Friday 13th May 7pm
  • Saturday 14th May Prayer Breakfast 9am

Come once – come every day, praying with others for our community and nation.
